On May 11, 2019, from 10:00am – 3:00pm, we are hosting a special one-day riding workshop for individuals who are 18 years and older. This workshop will be sectioned into four areas of instruction, namely: -- Essential Oils For Horse Health -- Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy for Horses -- Horse Braiding for Horse Shows -- Current Makeup Styles and Tutorial for Horse Shows Only twenty-five (25) spots are available for riders to enroll in this workshop and it promises to fill up fast, so be sure to sign up early! The cost of the workshop is $75 per attendee, and a $50 non-refundable deposit is required upon pre-registration online if not paying in full. Potter’s Field Ranch is hosting our first annual Hairy Horse Schooling Show on Saturday, May 18th, 2019, on our Equine Center located at 555 Twin Bridges Road in Whitefish. The show will begin at 10 a.m. and western events begin after 1 p.m. Classes range from Halter to Pleasure classes with several fun classes like Ride-a-Buck and Costume, along with high point awards for 10 & Under, Youth 11-18, Novice, and Open if the rider is signed up for them. First time competitors and green horses welcome! Activities are planned based on a riders individual abilities and strengths and created to challenge them to grow in their understanding of horses along with the skills for caring, grooming, and handling these majestic beasts.
